The New York Metropolis assassin who killed 4 folks broke quite a few gun management legal guidelines—he overtly carried a rifle that was already unlawful to own and carry within the metropolis. In the meantime, the law-abiding victims had been defenseless, disarmed by the town’s strict rules. Repeatedly, diaries and manifestos of mass public shooters present a disturbing sample: they intentionally select areas the place they know their victims can’t combat again on account of restrictive gun legal guidelines. Whereas it stays unknown whether or not this explicit killer made such a calculation, his actions align with a sample we’ve seen repeatedly in different instances.
