President Donald Trump has requested a US courtroom to order a swift deposition of Rupert Murdoch in his lawsuit towards the Wall Avenue Journal, citing the media mogul’s superior age.
Trump sued the billionaire over an article within the Journal, which is owned by Murdoch’s Information Corp, that alleged the president had written a “bawdy” letter to have fun intercourse offender Jeffrey Epstein’s birthday in 2003.
In a courtroom submitting on Monday, Trump’s attorneys acknowledged that he had knowledgeable Murdoch previous to the report being printed that the letter was “pretend”.
Trump’s attorneys argued that Murdoch must be requested to depose swiftly, noting that he was 94 and “is believed to have suffered latest vital well being scares”.

The article was printed amid mounting strain on the Trump administration to reveal extra details about Epstein.
