US officers insisted the US remained in “defensive” posture within the Center East after Donald Trump introduced he would leaving the G7 summit in Canada to cope with the battle between Israel and Iran.

Trump’s change of plans ignited hypothesis that the US may be getting ready to affix Israel in its assaults towards Iran, however prime officers in his administration denied any imminent shift.

“American forces are sustaining their defensive posture, and that has not modified,” Alex Pfeiffer, principal deputy communications director, wrote on X, denying a report that the US was collaborating in strikes towards Iran.

On Monday night, Pete Hegseth, US defence secretary, stated on Fox Information: “We’re postured defensively within the area to be robust in pursuit of a peace deal, and we definitely hope that’s what occurs right here”.
