Mike Woodson has emerged as a number one candidate to grow to be the highest assistant for the Sacramento Kings below Doug Christie. Woodson final coached within the NBA in 2021 with the New York Knicks as an assistant coach. Woodson spent the previous 4 seasons as head coach of Indiana College.
Woodson has been an NBA head coach beforehand with the Atlanta Hawks and Knicks.
Christie was elevated to interim head coach of the Kings in December and was retained this offseason. The Kings didn’t retain Jay Triano as lead assistant.
