The Telegraph are reporting that
The Conservatives are anticipating that they are going to lose management of all of the councils they’re defending in Thursday’s native elections.
A confidential memo to Kemi Badenoch, seen by the Telegraph, predicts that the Tories will lose as much as 770 seats and all of the mayoral elections which can be happening.
The doc mentioned that the Conservatives count on Reform UK to choose up 500 seats and win the Runcorn by-election, with the Tories slumping to 3rd.
The celebration places the blame partially on the choice to cost a former Tory MP and 15 others with insider betting on the date of the 2024 election – saying that the problem was nonetheless arising on the doorsteps.
I think that is partly expectations administration by the Tories however I’m stunned that the betting scandal is being introduced up on the doorstep, within the grand scheme of issues, it was a minor in comparison with say the disastrous tenure of Liz Truss, or the hypocrisy with lockdown, or the Boriswave.
