The behind-the-scenes story of the 1991 Troma Movies cult basic Vegas in Area is getting the biopic therapy from director Peaches Christ (drag persona of Joshua Grannell).

In Phillip R. Ford’s all-drag science fiction flick, Vegas in Area, written by Ford and star Doris Fish, three male area vacationers from Earth bear sex-change operations as a way to clear up a jewel heist on a planet occupied solely by ladies.
A legendary San Francisco drag queen, Fish died from issues with AIDS in 1991, months earlier than the movie’s premiere.
