From right now the central part of the Jerusalem gentle rail Purple Line will probably be closed for about 14 weeks. The closure will permit the tracks of the Inexperienced Line, as a consequence of start operations subsequent 12 months, to be related to the Purple Line monitor system at their intersection factors at Ammunition Hill and on the Nordau intersection (Jaffa and Sarei Israel Streets) – a transfer that may create Israel’s first gentle rail community.

The sunshine rail won’t function on the 9 stations between Givat HaMivtar station and the Central Bus Station. Based on each the Jerusalem Municipality and Ministry of Transport, the shortened service format is critical for the work to be carried out.
Throughout the shortened service interval, free shuttle buses will function between Givat Hamivtar and the Central Bus Station, serving town middle and the Jerusalem Municipality advanced. Bus strains will probably be extra frequent from Neve Yaakov and Pisgat Zeev to town and from southwest Jerusalem to town middle. A sponsored bicycle rental service may also function.
The Inexperienced Line
The Inexperienced Line would be the second gentle rail line working in Jerusalem after the Purple Line, which started operations in 2011. The Inexperienced Line could have 41 stations and prolong over 20 kilometers from Gilo within the south to Mount Scopus within the north, by way of Malha, town middle and the federal government precinct.
