The Houston Texans are re-signing defensive deal with Folorunso Fatukasi, a supply confirmed to ESPN.
Fatukasi, 30, began 11 video games for the Texans final season and contributed to a Texans run protection that ranked ninth in fewest yards allowed (107) and eighth in yards per try (4.2).
Fatukasi is not identified for dashing the passer as he solely had one sack final season and has 5.5 in his profession. However he is impactful in defending the run. He led the Texans protection in run stuff price (4.8%) and was tied for third in run stuff tackles (eight), based on Subsequent Gen Stats.
Fatukasi returns to a line of defense room that includes Mario Edwards Jr., Sheldon Rankins, Tim Settle Jr. and Denico Autry.
The Texans signed Fatukasi in March 2024 after he was launched by the Jacksonville Jaguars.
A sixth-round decide by the New York Jets within the 2018 draft, Fatukasi has 187 tackles (27 for loss) and 22 quarterback hits in seven seasons.
