Kansas Metropolis Chiefs security Deon Bush is predicted to overlook all the 2025 season after he tore his left Achilles tendon in Saturday evening’s 20-17, preseason-opening loss to the Arizona Cardinals.

Bush’s harm was a noncontact one, too, as he fell to the turf when he tried to vary instructions and speed up upfield. A couple of minutes later, Bush was consoled by coach Andy Reid and quarterback Patrick Mahomes earlier than being carted off the sphere. Whereas on the cart, Bush put a towel over his head.

“Deon was having a great [training] camp, too,” Reid mentioned. “He is bought to have surgical procedure on it. It is too unhealthy as a result of he is been taking part in very well. He is a great child.”

A nine-year veteran, Bush hoped to make one of many closing spots on the Chiefs’ preliminary 53-man roster closing. He joined the Chiefs in 2022 and was a contributor to the crew successful back-to-back Tremendous Bowls.

Bush’s largest spotlight with the Chiefs was his interception within the second half of the 2023 AFC Championship Sport win over the Baltimore Ravens.
