As manufacturing on The Batman Half II prepares to get underway subsequent 12 months, James Gunn is battling extra on-line fan hypothesis.
The DC Studios boss took to social media on Friday to dispel a rumor that the Darkish Knight’s orphaned sidekick Robin (aka Dick Grayson) will make his debut in Matt Reeves‘ upcoming sequel.
“Guys please cease believing this nonsense. I feel six of us have learn the script. Nobody is aware of something about The Batman 2,” wrote Gunn on Threads.
“Something you’ve heard about that film is made up or a guess,” wrote Gunn in a earlier put up. “Nobody on this planet is aware of something concerning the idea for the story besides 4 folks.”
Premiering final month in theaters, Gunn’s Superman launched a brand new DCU with the ‘Gods and Monsters’ section, separate from Reeves’ ‘Batman Epic Crime Saga’, which incorporates The Batman (2022) and final 12 months’s HBO Max sequence spin-off The Penguin.

After Gunn beforehand defended the delays on The Batman Half II, which is set to premiere on Oct. 1, 2027 following a year-long postponement, Reeves and co-writer Mattson Tomlin revealed in June that they completed the script for the sequel.
In a letter to Warner Bros. Discovery shareholders this week, the studio confirmed that manufacturing will start on The Batman Half II within the spring.
