Alo retailer in DC focused by masked retail theft ring, $20K value of clothes stolen: police

A gaggle of masked thieves are needed in Washington, DC, after they focused a luxurious athletic attire retailer and made off with about $20,000 in merchandise late final month, authorities stated.

Six suspects entered an Alo retailer in DC’s Georgetown neighborhood at round 7:30 p.m. on June 30, the Metropolitan Police Division stated.

Surveillance video exhibits the suspects strolling previous what seems to be a safety guard standing on the door earlier than swiping clothes off clothes racks and show counters.

The suspects left the shop with armfuls of merchandise earlier than escaping the scene in a silver or grey Ford Edge with coated tags, police stated.

The shop estimated the thieves stole $20,000 value of merchandise, in line with a police report obtained by Fox Information Digital.

Witnesses informed FOX5 DC that there was no police presence on the high-end retailer on the time of the theft.
