Iran and Israel have agreed to finish hostilities, US President Donald Trump claimed on Monday night. The announcement got here hours after Iran fired missiles at a US navy base in Qatar, in response to American strikes on its nuclear services.

“It has been absolutely agreed by and between Israel and Iran that there can be a Full and Whole CEASEFIRE (in roughly 6 hours from now, when Israel and Iran have wound down and accomplished their in progress, last missions!), for 12 hours, at which level the Battle can be thought of, ENDED!” Trump wrote on his Reality Social platform. 

“Formally, Iran will begin the CEASEFIRE and, upon the twelfth Hour, Israel will begin the CEASEFIRE and, upon the twenty fourth Hour, an Official END to THE 12 DAY WAR can be saluted by the World. Throughout every CEASEFIRE, the opposite aspect will stay PEACEFUL and RESPECTFUL,” he added.

“On the idea that all the things works because it ought to, which it should, I want to congratulate each International locations, Israel and Iran, on having the Stamina, Braveness, and Intelligence to finish, what needs to be known as, “THE 12 DAY WAR,” Trump wrote.

Neither Tehran nor West Jerusalem has reacted to the announcement. Unconfirmed experiences on social media claimed that Israel continued placing targets in Tehran after Trump’s submit.

An Iranian official informed CNN that Tehran has not obtained any ceasefire proposal and would view Trump’s remarks as “a deception.”

“At this very second, the enemy is committing aggression towards Iran, and Iran is on the verge of intensifying its retaliatory strikes, with no ear to take heed to the lies of its enemies,” the official stated.

Reuters, nevertheless, cited a senior Iranian official who confirmed that Tehran had agreed to the ceasefire.

Open struggle between Israel and Iran broke out on June 13, when the IDF launched strikes on navy and nuclear services throughout Iran and carried out assassinations of senior Iranian commanders and nuclear scientists. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated the operation was aimed toward stopping Iran from buying nuclear weapons.

Iran, which denies having a navy nuclear program, responded by firing missiles into Israel.

On June 22, US B-2 bombers struck three Iranian nuclear websites, together with uranium enrichment services in Natanz and Fordow. The next day, Iran fired missiles on the US Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar.
