The U.S. joined Israel’s conflict on Iran and over the weekend bombed three of the nation’s nuclear websites, together with Fordo, situated deep inside a mountain.

Within the aftermath of the bombing, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu congratulated Trump on the assault.

Iranian overseas minister Abbas Araghchi tweeted that the U.S.’s assault would have “eternal penalties.”

NPR’s Andrew Limbong speaks with journalist Robin Wright, writer of “The Final Nice Revolution: Turmoil and Transformation in Iran.”
