“Lukashenko issued pardons for all these launched on Saturday in response to a U.S. request, his spokeswoman Natalya Eismont mentioned. In an announcement, she mentioned the Belarusians who have been freed had been ‘convicted of extremist and terrorist exercise’.

She mentioned the choice to launch Tsikhanouski was ‘taken by the president strictly on humanitarian issues with the intention of household reunification’.”
