The movie’s synopsis reads: A Easy Soldier follows Ukrainian filmmaker and cinematographer Artem Ryzhykov as he swaps life behind the digital camera for all times on the frontlines as an expert soldier after Russia’s 2022 invasion. 

He doesn’t go away filmmaking behind completely – usually seen with each a digital camera and a gun, Artem paperwork the chaos, confusion, and heartbreak of conflict whereas making an attempt to remain linked to his household and younger spouse again residence. As he bonds with fellow troopers and faces the brutal realities of fight, we see a deeply private story unfold. That is the human expertise of conflict –  it’s about love, friendship, obligation, and what it means to carry on to your humanity in the midst of all of it.

Alongside Battsek, the movie’s producers are James Packer, Ben Silverman, Howard Owens, Marcel Mettelsiefen, Isabel San Vargas, Drew Buckley, and Catalina Ramirez.
