Malware attack disguises itself as DeepSeek installer

Cybercriminals are exploiting the rising curiosity in open supply AI fashions by disguising malware as a respectable installer for DeepSeek.

Victims are unwittingly downloading the “BrowserVenom” malware designed to steal saved credentials, session cookies, and many others and achieve entry to cryptocurrency wallets.

How are the dangerous guys spreading the malware? By shopping for Google adverts… sigh… which level to a pretend DeepSeek obtain web page.

Google says it has suspended the advertiser’s account. Little question the cybercriminals gained’t… oh, i don’t know… simply create one other account and check out once more, maybe?

I feel it might be higher if the entire world ignored all Google adverts, or.. hey.. maybe ditched Google altogether.
