The Indianapolis Colts will induct former proprietor Jim Irsay of their Ring of Honor through the workforce’s season opener on Sept. 7.
The Colts introduced Irsay’s deliberate induction Friday, the day he would have turned 66. Irsay died Might 21.
“There was no greater advocate for the Colts, the NFL, town of Indianapolis and the state of Indiana than our dad, Jim Irsay,” Irsay’s daughters and new workforce house owners Carlie Irsay-Gordon, Casey Foyt and Kalen Jackson mentioned in an announcement. “It is solely becoming that he now joins the opposite superb Colts legends in our Ring of Honor who contributed a lot to our franchise and our group over the previous 4 many years.”
Irsay would be the twentieth member of the Colts’ Ring of Honor. He joins his father, Robert, who was the inaugural honoree in 1996.

Irsay had owned the Colts since his father’s demise in 1997, taking on the workforce on the age of 37 because the NFL’s youngest proprietor on the time.
