The Pentagon will deploy active-duty Marines to assist quell riots in Los Angeles sparked by the arrests of suspected unlawful migrants.

About 700 Marines from the first Marine Division will help in defending “federal personnel and federal property within the better Los Angeles space,” US Northern Command stated on Monday.
