A convicted rapist was in custody Friday for savagely beating unconscious a mother on Randall’s island — having known as 911 to report the assault himself, in accordance with police sources.
The suspect was out on parole for rape and was sporting his ankle monitor in the course of the vicious assault, police sources stated.
He had been residing at a shelter on Randall’s Island when he allegedly bludgeoned the 44-year-old mother, now recognized as Diana Agudelo, as she was strolling alongside the bikepath at 600 E. a hundred and twenty fifth St. round 11:30 p.m. Friday, cops and sources stated.
