A United Airways flight headed to Los Angeles from Hawaii was diverted Tuesday after a “potential safety concern” was discovered within the airplane toilet, in line with the airline.
United Airways 1169 departed from Daniel Okay. Inouye Worldwide Airport in Honolulu round 9:40 p.m. Hawaii Commonplace Time. However about an hour and a half after taking off, the airplane turned again to the Honolulu airport, in line with flight monitoring information from FlightAware.
Police searched the Boeing 777 airplane, which had about 339 passengers and 10 crewmembers, after the plane landed, in line with an airline spokesperson. The consultant declined to say what, if something, was found on the airplane.
The Federal Aviation Administration didn’t reply to a request for remark.
