Columbia College President Claire Shipman was booed throughout a commencement ceremony on Tuesday, with chants of “Free Mahmoud” heard drowning her out.
Mahmoud Khalil, a Columbia College graduate was detained by US immigration officers in March over his function in pro-Palestinian protests on campus. He’s a everlasting authorized US resident and has not been charged with against the law.
