The Comet is headed to the massive leagues.

Infielder Hyeseong Kim, whose first identify interprets to “comet” in a Korean dialect, is being promoted to the Dodgers from Triple-A Oklahoma Metropolis to make his Main League debut, the membership introduced on Saturday.

In a corresponding transfer, infielder/outfielder Tommy Edman was positioned on the injured listing with proper ankle irritation, retroactive to April 30.

The Dodgers signed the 26-year-old Kim throughout the offseason after he spent eight seasons within the Korea Baseball Group. Kim batted .304 or higher in each season from 2021-24 and stole 20 bases in seven consecutive seasons.

Kim reported to Oklahoma Metropolis — coincidentally named the Comets after Mickey Mantle, who grew up in Commerce, Okla., and was nicknamed the Commerce Comet — after signing a 3-year, $12.5 million cope with Los Angeles in January. In 27 video games this season, he is batting .257 with an .801 OPS and 14 extra-base hits.

Kim has eight multihit video games, together with a two-homer sport at Spherical Rock on April 12.
